Tony Lash Express
Tony Lash is king of the world, or at least king of his own little world. He is already becoming the stuff that legends are made of, as least in the model train industry.

No Tony does not manufacture trains or own a large model train company, he simply collects model trains, a lot of trains. At last count he had over 4000 locomotives in his collection, and, unlike the economy, he shows no signs of slowing down. Some of you may say, so what, any body can collect a large number of models if they are HO scale.

Well Tony collects O scale model trains that range in price from a few hundred to a few thousand a piece. Furthermore, in order to show off his collection he has built, with the help of numerous modelers and contractors, a 65’ x 45’ layout. Yes that’s right 2,925 square feet of bridges, buildings, trees, switches and more. Since it’s creation, Tony’s layout has drawn a lot of attention. It has even been featured on a video tape featuring a number of amazing train layouts.

How It All Started
Tony’s interest in model trains started in 1947 when his parents bought him a die-cast 2-6-2 Steam Engine and freight set by Lionel. His grandfather actually worked for the Norfolk & Western and let him ride on a Y6B. Now Tony says that is his favorite model locomotive, the N&W Y6B manufactured by MTH Electric Trains.
